Baby Voldemort: The Creepiest of All Harry Potter Reborn Dolls

Jul 20, 2011 04:30 PM

Demented newborn baby? No—creepy "reborn" baby modeled after what Lord Voldemort would look like straight from womb of his pure-blood witch of a mother. As if reborn babies weren't disturbing enough, artist Tracy Ann Lister has gone and created a slew of ultra-realistic baby dolls fashioned after the characters from the Harry Potter series. It was bound to happen someday.

Reborning requires great skill, even more so for these horrifying Harry Potter collectors dolls. They're not exactly something you'd want to get your kids, but they're definitely worth adopting if you're a fan. And yes, "adopting" is the right term in the reborn industry, not buying.

Some diehard fans debate whether or not Baby Voldemort would have had evil eyes as a newborn, since he wasn't always the Dark Lord. He was first Tom Marvolo Riddle, half-blood son of a witch and Muggle. But so what if Baby Voldemort didn't have evil eyes when he was born? It's still a freakishly fun doll to have if you're a Potter enthusiast.

Let's just hope we don't see "adoptive" mothers carrying around these creepy Potter babies like their own flesh and blood. They've been know to do it for normal looking dead dolls. Maybe there's someone out there who thinks she's Lily Potter... and she's probably the highest bidder for Harry, which is running at over $640 right now, with an asking price of over $900.

They're all currently for sale on eBay in the UK at Artful Babies. See some of them below (with links). And good news for US fanatics... she does ship overseas, but it's expensive.
